During the coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) pandemic period, container computed tomography (CT) scanners were developed and used for the first time in UAE to perform CT examinations for patients with clinically mild to moderate covid-19 who did not need to be hospitalized for comprehensive treatment, but needed to be isolated in filed shelter hospitals to receive some supportive treatment. The container CT is a multi-detector CT scanner installed within a radiation-protected stand-alone container (a detachable lead shielding room) that is deployed outside the makeshift hospital buildings. The container CT approach provided various medical institutions with the solution not only for rapid CT installation and high adaptability to site environments, but also for significantly minimizing the risk of cross-infection between radiological personnel and patients during CT examination in the pandemic.

An MRI quench pipe is vital part of the overall system. An MRI quench pipe is used to safely expel helium out of the building quickly. If the magnet overheats during a quench, a large volume of super cold helium gas needs to be safely vented outside.
Failure of the cryogenic vent can result in this cold gas going into the magnet room or another portion of the building. MRI quench pipes must hold up to the drastic shift in temps from ambient to that of liquid helium within seconds. Failure of proper helium MRI quench pipes could result in helium leaking into the room and jeopardizing patient safety.
The design and construction of this system must be both well planned and well documented and necessary engineering data to be used to determine the correct diameter and types of pipes (SS / aluminum pipes) to be used of the MRI quench pipe and pipes will be suitable thermal insulation to avoid cold burning.
Magnetic MRI shielding is used to protect the environment from the MRI magnetic field. We are offers two m36 silicon steel for magnetic shielding solutions,
The proposed location of your MRI system and your facilities requirement for dc (static) magnetic field containment will determine if magnetic shielding is required, specifically if the location of the MRI system allows the magnetic field of the MRI system to go beyond the MRI scan room itself or when the operation of the MRI system may be affected by something outside of the MRI suite. Most commonly, facilities follow the recommended guidelines of limiting dc magnetic fields in publicly accessible area to 5g or less, but some facilities adopt stricter standards or there co-siting concerns may arise that require containment of lower dc magnetic fields.
The type of material you will need should be determined by your shield designer, most commonly the MRI OEM. Determining how much magnetic shielding you will need as early as possible in your planning process should be one of the first steps you take after selecting which MRI system you are purchasing in order to coordinate integration of the shielding into your facility design and ensure your facility can support the shielding structurally.
Rhino Shield is one of the few shielding manufacturers capable of designing magnetic shielding for MRI scanners
The medical gas pipeline system is an important and indispensable part of a modern hospital. It includes medical oxygen generators system, medical vacuum pumps system, medical air compressor system, nitrous oxide (n2o), nitrogen system, carbon dioxide system, and central workstation.
Through the rational design of the medical gas pipeline system project, the hospital can obtain a powerful gas supply system with lower investment and ensure the efficient operation of the hospital’s medical gas system.
Each medical gas must be supplied from a separate system. It is essential that all parts of each system are gas specific to ensure that there is no possibility of cross-connection between systems. Indeed, a common configuration is designed to each system as the following components.
Sources
Piping networks
Valves
Warning and alarm systems
Outlets and inlets
Secondary equipment
Medical Gas Piping Works
Medical gases and vacuum are distributed via the pipeline distribution system to provide gas or vacuum at the end-point or terminal units. The terminal units may be either wall-mounted or pendant-mounted. The pipes should be made of high-quality copper, seamless type, and non-arsenic. Moreover, it should be protected against physical damage and corrosion and color coded as per gas content.
Valves
There are 2 types of valves; zone valves and service valves. Zone valves are used to isolate large parts of the system, i.e. rooms for modification and/or repair. In addition, zone valves are placed on corridor walls and should be labeled to indicate the rooms that they control. On the other hand, service valves are used to isolate certain part of the system for modification and/or repair. Accordingly, they are accessible by the clinical staff.
Warning and Alarm Systems
The function of warning and alarm systems is to give information for the responsible staff about the whole plant in case of failure detection or change requirement. This includes the sources, the pipes, the valves, etc. Therefore, there are 2 main alarm systems; master alarms and area alarms. Master alarm monitors the main gas lines and sources conditions. Area alarms are found on alarm panels and their function is to monitor the conditions of specific critical care area. According to NFPA standards, both master and area alarms must be reviewed and checked regularly.
Outlets and Inlets
Outlets are points at which connections can be made to the medical gas piping system to supply gases under pressure, while inlets are supply vacuum. There are 2 styles of connections; quick connect and twist-on. Outlets should be gas-specific and also color coded as per gas content
Hospitals and other critical care facilities require specific installations to minimize the spread of airborne illnesses while providing a comfortable climate. Additionally, it’s critical for design engineers to meet applicable standards and guidelines for temperature, humidity, air exchange and pressure for various types of hospital rooms and spaces. We provide technical advice and assist in selecting equipment and installing for:
Environmental comfort in hospitals
HVAC systems that aid infection control from airborne illnesses
Energy conservation

High value medical consignments warrant total oversight. It’s a simple idea in a complex environment.
From leaving the storage location up to the installation point, you and your client need assurance that delivery is secure and on-schedule. It’s a tall order, moving big equipment in a busy environment. It can feel like you’re pulling out all the stops just to pull it off. For a lot of device manufacturers and recipients, the benefit of a third party handling logistical intricacies in full including site surveys, assessing the product, gauging the risk and responding with the method doesn’t require much justification.
Medical transportation isn’t always about the vast and complex though. Small and medium-sized devices are part of the same set of resources and efficiency, and knowing how to get equipment swiftly up and running can be just as valuable to your clients who already have plenty to be getting on with without worrying about deliveries and installation.
Our method for meeting this ideal is a planning procedure that leaves no stone unturned and dedicated project management throughout.
It’s helping in this way that has enabled clients to benefit from planning and delivery services, storage, dispatch and eventually, through to fully specialized logistics outsourcing that positively impacts client relationships and results.
Experience and procedure are combined for the best possible outcome, a notion that the medical environment and rhino shield.
MRI Compatible Components
